This Capacity Building workshop for the Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure (MNPI) is the last training session under the
contractual obligations of “Design & Supervision of Water and Sanitation Network of 5 Islands” project. The session was conducted for MNPI personnel (previously under MEE) and FENAKA operators.
The program ran from March 30- April 1, 2019 and revolves around Testing and Commissioning of Sewerage Systems. Classroom lectures, on-site inspections and observations during testing and commissioning and useful tips in operating the facility were imparted to participants to provide appreciation of the sewerage process and to ensure that the system will operate properly and in a sustainable manner.
During the closing ceremony, certificates of participation were awarded to all participants by Mr Ahmed Ibrahim – the Island Council President of Nolhivaranfaru, Mr Mohamed Aslam – FENAKA Station Manage, Mr Joe Ranil Fernando – SIERRA Senior Engineer and Mr Rey Rivas – Riyan’s Project Manager.
Riyan is the lead consultant in this IDB funded project providing design and work supervision of water and sanitation network in Hdh.Nolhivaranfaru, Lh.Naifaru, K.Thulusdhoo, K.Himmafushi and Th.Veymandoo.
