As part of the MRC Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR) program, MRC wants to develop “Safe building” to support the Community level Disaster Management plans by retrofitting existing structures in the community which will be used as an evacuation centers during a disaster emergency.

Riyan was tasked with identifying “Safe Buildings” by assessing existing buildings in terms of geography, structural, risk of hazard, alleviation, safety, capacity/size, surrounding population, disability access, facilities and services (electricity, information etc.) through consultation with national and local level stakeholders.
